The first thing we'll do is sit down with you and listen to your needs. We know that you are the expert on your business and you know your customers and their requirements.

Our 2-person team will travel to you, or you can come to our space in the beautiful Scottish Borders. Our initial meetings are always thoroughly enjoyable as we get to grips with another design challenge. It's a real buzz as ideas are swapped and aired, from how the site will look - to how it will work for your customers - to how it will work for you...

The next stage is for Jo to go away and pull all the ideas into a web brief report for you. This is a substantial document that covers everything from User Experience to Site Structure to Visual Design. The document will also address costings and a staged delivery outline. At this point you are free to walk away - in practice that has never happened!

Once the report, costings and timescale have been agreed, it is over to David, our designer. From our meeting he will already have a good idea of the design issues and over the next few days these will be worked up into mockups. At this stage the mockups are images, not working web pages, but they will give you a very good idea of the look of the finished site. From the mockup designs, you will be able to pick and choose, until the site looks just as you want it to look. David will work with you all through the design and build stage, until we have a working prototype site.

Then it's back to Jo for the content stage, when the text and images bring the site to life. You can provide the text and high-quality images yourself or you can use Jo's copywriting skills and David's superb photography to enhance your site. Throughout the design, build and content stages, the site remains on private web space so no-one sees it until we are ready.

The next job - and a very important one - is to fully optimise the site (so that search engines will be able to find it). This is a task that Jo really loves, something to do with the puzzle-solving techniques involved... If your site has an element of content management (which means that you are able to update parts of the site yourself), then we will sit with you before the site goes live and go through all the steps until you are confident that it's a piece of cake! Finally, after triple-checking and beta-testing, we are ready to launch your website onto the world.

The work doesn't end there though. Sites have to be checked and kept up-to-date. Is the site performing as expected? How about those search engines? Are visitors finding the right pages? How many visitors are coming to your site? If your site is hosted with us, you can relax, knowing that if there is any problem we will sort it out efficiently and speedily.
